Know what to expect before you go
Our guests stay in Punta Cana and Bávaro, but our diving takes place on the Caribbean side of the Dominican Republic. We collect you early and travel to Bayahibe for calmer Caribbean conditions, then continue by boat to the selected reefs, wrecks or island destination.
A little preparation makes the day easier: choose the right trip, send accurate diver and equipment information, pack the essentials and keep enough time between your final dive and your flight home.

From the resort to the Caribbean Sea
Pickup, travel time and return
Early Pickup
Pickup is usually between about 7:15 and 7:50 a.m., depending on your resort. We confirm the exact time and meeting point before the trip.
Caribbean Transfer
The drive to Bayahibe normally takes around 60–120 minutes, depending on the resort location and traffic.
Return Time
Bayahibe usually returns during the afternoon. Saona and Catalina return later because they are full-day island excursions.
Lobby or security gate?
Meeting points differ by resort. Use the exact location sent in your pickup message and arrive a few minutes early with your phone available.

Certification, experience and health
Certified divers should send their certification level, approximate number of dives and date of their most recent dive. If it has been a while, we can start calmly and review important skills before continuing.
First-time divers join a supervised Discover Scuba Diving experience. Tell us honestly about medical conditions, medication, recent surgery or pregnancy. A completed medical questionnaire—and in some cases physician approval—may be required before diving.

Tips for a comfortable dive day
Rest well
Sleep properly and avoid excessive alcohol before diving.
Eat light
Have a light breakfast and avoid a very heavy meal before the transfer.
Stay hydrated
Drink water before and during the day, especially in the Caribbean heat.
Speak up
Tell your instructor about nerves, ear problems or anything that does not feel right.
Plan your flight after diving
Divers Alert Network recommends a minimum surface interval of 12 hours after one no-decompression dive and 18 hours after multiple dives in a day or diving on multiple days. A substantially longer interval is prudent after dives requiring decompression stops.
Plan conservatively and follow the longer instruction if your dive computer, training agency or medical professional gives one.

Families, snorkelers and non-divers
Companions Are Welcome
Snorkelers and non-diving companions can join selected trips when space is available. Saona and Catalina are especially enjoyable for the boat ride, beach and lunch while the divers complete two dives.
Conditions Decide the Plan
Weather, sea conditions and safety may change the boat route or dive site. Marine animals are wild, so no specific wildlife sighting can be guaranteed.

Travel and preparation questions
Do I need to bring a towel?
Yes. Please bring a towel from your hotel together with your swimsuit and dry clothes.
Can you verify my certification online?
Usually yes. Send your full name, date of birth, training agency and any certification details you have before the trip.
Is all scuba equipment included?
Standard scuba equipment, tanks and weights are included. Send your height, weight and shoe size so we can prepare suitable sizes.
Where will I meet the driver?
The exact meeting point depends on the resort and may be the lobby, reception area or security gate. Follow the pickup message sent before your trip.
Can a non-diver join us?
Yes, depending on the trip and available space. Island excursions are especially suitable for companions who want the boat, beach and lunch experience.
What if it has been a long time since my last dive?
Tell us when you last dived and how much experience you have. We can recommend an appropriate trip and begin with a relaxed skills check when needed.
